When will my order be shipped?
Orders are usually processed (ready for shipping) within 0-2 business days. If the product being purchased is a lighting fixture, an additional few days may be necessary to repack or further cushion the product for transport, especially if it is not ordered in multiple pcs of a master carton.
How long will my order take to ship to me?
Once the order has been processed and packed for shipping, we generally ship the product by USPS First Class or Priority Mail for small orders (orders less than 2 pounds), and UPS Ground for everything else (unless the order is more than 200 lbs, in which case a trucking company might be used). Depending on where you are located in the USA, once the carrier picks the order up from our warehouse in Whittier, California your package should be delivered within 2-6 business days but please allow up to 10 days in case of carrier mishaps. International orders or truck load orders may take longer.
How is Shipping amount calculated?
The shipping cost displayed in your list is estimated based on product weight (and dimensions) according to UPS Ground zone and rate charts. Most of the time this estimation is very accurate and we don't need to adjust it unless we encounter situations that could not be correctly calculated by our software (e.g. international destinations, truck load quotes, combination of odd sized items, special delivery or customer special requests etc).
If the shipping cost looks way off we'll gladly check it out for you. That's what our Negotiation option is for. Write us a note of what you want us to double check for you and we'll manually calculate it and get back to you. If you want to, you can even specify your own UPS account and we'll use that instead of billing you our shipping cost in the order invoice.
Can I get my product faster?
It depends on what the product is and how soon you need it. Our website is not set up to handle extremely time sensitive deliveries so we urge customers to plan ahead to avoid rush delivery. If you need it in a hurry please call first to see if faster delivery options are available.
Do you charge handling?
The only time you will see a handling charge is if a product (typically lighting) requires ordering in multiples of its master carton, such as 2 pcs to a box and you order less than that or any non-multiple. The handling charge is automatically waived if you order according to the recommended multiples of its master carton. The handling charge amount ranges between $1-$15 depending on the product and also will be reduced by any other lighting products in your list. The handling charge will be completely waived if you are ordering enough other lighting products to off-set the handling effort. Try adding products to your list and seeing how much your handling is, if any. If the handling fee is a deal breaker for you, you may try our Negotiation feature to discuss it.
Do you purchase shipping insurance?
We normally do not purchase insurance, signature, Saturday delivery or any other extra carrier options unless you specifically request it.
What should I do if the product is broken upon arrival?
Immediately tell the carrier (person who dropped off the package) to document the incident. Notify us so that we may file a claim with the carrier. We will have a representative work with you regarding a replacement if possible. Keep everything (box and all packaging materials) in case the carrier sends someone to investigate the claim.
Please do not under any circumstances refuse shipment. If there is a problem contact us to discuss it.
Please verify that your shipping address is correct. We will charge a re-ship handling fee for any orders returned to us due to an undeliverable address.
